Myotherapy

What is Myotherapy?

The goal of Myotherapy is to treat pain and restricted movement with a holistic approach and identify the dysfunctional movement patterns that caused your body to break down.

Often being an alternative to Physiotherapist or Osteopath, a Myotherapist is considered a pain and movement specialist when experiencing muscular or joint pain.

Myotherapy is a hands-on, multi-modality, manual therapy treatment for acute or chronic musculoskeletal pain.

A typical Myotherapy treatment by Wendy Cheah would include body and movement assessment, PreciseShift™, joint mobilisations & manipulation, AEPR stretching, dry needling and myofascial cupping corrective and rehabilitative exercise, taping and prescriptive advice on muscle and pain management to ease the pain and improve in health.

Why choose Myotherapy?

Myotherapy is preventative therapy too and provides education and self-help suggestions. If you are thinking of starting a fitness program, a fitness assessment is recommended so you can reduce the risk of injury. You will receive guidance for appropriate exercise programs to achieve your goals and help with measuring your progress.
